The practice operates a system that allows you to obtain a prescription for regular medication without seeing a doctor or nurse. Please note that prescriptions will normally be available for collection within 48 hours (excluding weekends and bank holidays).
If you have certain medication on a regular basis, then your “Repeat Prescription Request Form” is normally attached to the signed prescription, which you take to the chemist. You should retain the repeat prescription section, which the chemist will hand back to you, and then keep this safe.
By Hand, Post or Phone
When you are due for your next lot of medication, you should tick the items you need and either post or hand the form into the surgery or post it into our Prescription Request Box to save you queuing . If you happen to lose your repeat prescription form, you can write the medication you need on a piece of paper and post it or hand it into the surgery. You may also phone the surgery to request a repeat prescription after 11am.
After 2 working days, the prescription can be collected from the surgery or if requested can collected by the chemist of your choice.
Request Prescriptions On-line
You can register for access to Patient Online, please come in and ask the receptionist, you will need one form of ID: passport, driving licence, birth certificate, bank statement, utility bill, marriage certificate. You will be able to request prescriptions, book appointments and view your medical records (coded data only).
NB. Prescriptions will not be issued if a medication review is due.
